ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Hill Railroad Car Company, Inc., will receive Sealed bids for 2014 RFAP Project #821423 Runaround Installation Track until 12:00 P.M. noon prevailing time, on September 30, 2015 at which time they will be opened and read aloud at the office of the Hill Railroad Car Company, Inc., 201 Power Street, New Castle, PA 16102. The sealed bid shall be clearly marked "Sealed Bid Enclosed". This is a Prevailing Wage project. A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held on September 16, 2015. Everyone will meet at 201 Power Street, New Castle, PA 16102 at 10:00 a.m. Project will consist of the installation of 1200' of track and 2 #10 turnouts for a runaround track on the Northeast side of the building connecting the existing track on the Southwest of the building and the existing track on the Northeast of the building. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder who has based their bid in accordance with the Contract Documents. Contract Documents, including typical drawings and technical specifications, may be reviewed at the Hill Railroad Company, Inc., 201 Power Street, New Castle, PA 16102. Copies of the Contract Documents for 2014 RFAP Project # 821423 Runaround Installation Track may be obtained by a non-refundable deposit of $25.00 from Hill Railroad Car Co. for each set of Contract Documents so obtained. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record with Hill Railroad Car Co. as having obtained the Contract Documents. A Bid Bond in an amount equal to 10% of the total of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The Contractor, in accordance with Executive Orders 11625 and 12138, must utilize to the greatest extent feasible, minority and/or women owned business concerns which are located within the municipality, county or the general trade area. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
